The biological definition of 'sex' is simple: if your body makes smaller mobile gametes called 'sperm', you're male; if your body makes larger non-mobile gametes called 'eggs', you're female. No humans make intermediate-sized gametes.

Fuzzy boundaries between categories do not render the categories false. As you walk between a mountain & a valley, at what moment do you leave the mountain & enter the valley? Is the concept of "mountain" thus a lie? It's not. Similarly: rare cases do not render categories untrue

Yup. And as you well know, intermediate-sized gametes don't tend to persist--not enough cytoplasm to create a functional zygote, too slow to find other gametes. Two gamete types --> two sexes. (This from Daly & Wilson 1983: Sex, Evolution & Behavior):pic.twitter.com/AlMBIzey36

As always, this conversation has been deliberately simplified with the conflation of gender and sex. Ignoring the reality of gender dysphoria is a failure of empathy and an ignorant dismissal of social science.
