Yes, I apologize, I mean social sciences. I'm curious how the demographics have been developing in that regard, and I think we can hypothesize why, no?

But is this wrong? In terms of therapy, I feel women are just naturally better at listening...as some would argue men are better in stem fields.

I worry that couples therapy is very female-biased, so men are reluctant to participate.

Luckily, I haven't needed it in my 10+ yr marriage (so far!), but I would certainly be less inclined to bother due to that very reason.

The vast majority continue in psych careers, according to the APA article.

Thanks. I wonder where the rest will end up. I have a funny feeling that philosophy grads will be in higher demand soon. Already seeing a bit of this in Finance....trading specifically.

It’s almost like men and women pursue different fields because there are differences of temperament and a personality between the two genders. But don’t tell feminists this fact.

When I graduated with my #PhD in #history from @KUnews in 2016, not a single #male graduate had a #tenure-track position lined up. I don’t know if this is related and I abhor conspiracy theories, but this too might be worth studying.

Psych is the undergrad of choice for perpetually Undecided women (for men: business). Most are going to tap out well before a PhD, but the math on cost v. income gains for a psych BA/BS doesn't look good & those who can cut it are basically strapped in at that point
