Makes my dream of writing books sound slightly less appealing
But I'm a writer, so I'm not good with numbers anyway. What does "5000" even mean?
It probably means after all costs the writer makes around £10000 assuming the cost is £5 per book. Publishers, editors and manufacturing gets the rest.
Nah, academic books cost a lot of money. All my teachers in college wrote their own books as a guarantee of sales. My tax teacher made a new addition every two years and the books cost $300 a pop. Add 500 students a semester, 3 semesters a year, and you have a healthy sideline.
Oh yeah I agree totally with that. I was thinking more about the public academic books like 12 rules or sapiens. Online you can pick those up for around £7-10.
And, nerds.
Where I'm guessing they aren't read.
