Nudist tribes/colonies intrigue me, even though I wouldn't join one. The concept of how quickly societally taboo things (like being nude in a non sexual way) can be normalized, when everyone else around you is doing the same, is fascinating to me.

Doesn't everyone want to learn everything, like pacman munching knowledge points? Also any idea that has traction (even terrible ones like communism) have to have an element of truth to them, otherwise they wouldn't be appealing & gain power. Filtering out that element is the joy

I said no, but I'm curious as to what level(s) you think social ostracization actually happens at. I'm inclined to believe that, like anything else, a few fringe/radical opinions doth not a personality make, nor do sympathies for s given subculture, etc.

I'm more worried about the reverse

I'm pretty sure if the right cult started up at the right time I could get talked into it. Wild Wild Country is a fantastic Netflix documentary if you're interested. In my opinion they got it 90% right..
