If their ethnicity is salient to Harvard, it will also be salient to others members of their own ethnicity.

The racial shitstorm of the future will be between Chinese and black people. Han racism is absolutely savage and has no PC baizuo qualms.

Or as Asian companies come to hire American workers, they’ll rely on IQ tests over University degrees, as they will be: 1) Legal to use in their jurisdiction 2) Will better predict General Cognitive Ability, which is what the Uni degree mainly represents to an employer.

As Americans, we should all see the universities are discriminating against our people.

Met an Asian family in CA that sent their kids to a public school...for the last year of HS. Greatly improved the chances of admission to a decent college.

I agree with what you're supporting. But this seems like a weird reason to treat people fairly: because one fears the reprisal of "their" supposed leaders. Isn't the basis of not being discriminatory, grounded in the belief that we are = and hence afforded = opportunity?
-
Thank you for saying that. That sentiment is lost in this chaos more often than not. I also need to mention that things like these are usually a litmus test for most people in the East. This is what they pay attention to before emigrating from here to there.

those are foreign countries and their students only make up .017 percent of college students in America. This is about American citizens being denied entry into schools because of their ethnic background which is incredibly racist

The worst thing
@Harvard could have done in the face of criticism was to dig in their heels in the face of facts. And sure enough, they did that. Not sure which strategic mind at@HarvardHBS was advising them through this process.Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

Do the leaders of Asian countries conceptualize Asian-American Harvard applicants as "their people" rather than the descendants of traitors who emigrated? The lawsuit is about Asian-Americans who went to High School in US and are largely US nationals, not visa students
-
We conceptualize them as someone who is still a bearer of our culture. Life in India does not revolve around politics, unlike the US. You don't know how proud Indians were about Kalpana Chawla. I remember being really sad as a kid when i heard about the discovery space shuttle.
-
I suppose I was mostly thinking about China, which does not allow dual nationality does not consider N generation Chinese Americans to be part of their body politic. I understand that India has a v different attitude towards its diaspora and is much more protective of it.
-
Yeah, you may be correct about China that way. I've met Chinese at RIT who were afraid to talk ill about the CCP or China even though they never have been to China. Even they feel abandoned and victimized by the state of their national polity.

Asian can always, you know, stay in Asia

What do you mean “stay”? I’ve been in
my whole life. This is a problem for 2nd and later immigrants generations.

Does their power matters? Because that is the narrative you can argue that their power as Asians may make their non admission non racist! (I love twisting leftist argue ts sorry).
