Rococo is my guilty pleasure. I love the gaudy opulence for some reason.

Whenever I visit Artstation there's just so much stimulating contemporary art there that, while I love a number of classical painters, I enjoy seeing new visions explored. However, I'd say that the atmospheric dimension of art from the 1970'ies-80'ies is often underrated.

Easy. 20th century, especially first 30 years, was a massive explosion in consciousness expanding art. Dali, Picasso, Bacon, Freud, Manet. But my favourite paintings is Bosch’s Eartly Delights well before. God I love living in London!

Generally like artists from École des Beaux-Arts and the Russian academy during the 1800's. Big fan of the Peredvizhniki artists and Pre-Raphaelites. Some good art followed into the 1900's like Mancini but it seemed to get killed off by shallow impressionism and two world wars.

1800s is the correct answer. Painting was getting better and better until the camera.

I voted for the 1800's. Use http://google.no to search "nasjonalromantikken kunst" and you'll know what I mean.

Whoever likes modern art (1945+) either suffers from depression or will suffer from depression.

How about now? ;) Oh. Still...still the 1800's? Ok. I understand.
