His theory of perception and action was a profoundly different way to look at psychology and consciousness. Influenced J.J. Gibson, who influenced my mentor Roger Shepard.

Exciting. I’ll add this to my motley and growing list of influences from(pre-)phenomenology. I enjoy tacking Brentano’s descendants over time: Husserl, Schutz, Heidegger, Gestalt, Tarski’s logic, postwar French thought, Clifford Geertz, Berger-Luckmann, etc (and now this as well)
