Beyond massive. Google is admitting to censorship. Explains why people get unsubscribed, videos don’t show in feeds, etc.
Wonder if their shareholders are concerned this will hurt their bottom line?
Hey, @TeamYouTube, can you confirm my channel isn’t being censored?https://twitter.com/LibertarianBlue/status/1049824761902174214 …

Google needs activist shareholders to remind management that they didn't invest in Google to create the first global corporate regime of virtue-signaling thought-police.

Seems inaccurate to classify what Google is doing as virtue signaling if they were doing it in secret. You may not agree with their reasons for doing so, but secretive actions for what they think is right (e.g., suppressing neo nazi) can’t be chalked up to mere signaling, right?

They're signaling to co-workers. Most virtue-signaling is very local.

Google is a Fortune 100 leading tech company w/ 88k+ employees, consistently ranked one of best co's to work for & has notoriously selective hiring standards, & likely very few privy to their filtering practices--I find it very hard to believe they need or use that as signaling.

Once SJWs infect a host, they render it no longer fit for purpose. Ask yourself, what technical purpose was served by firing James Damore for calmly & accurately introducing scientific evidence on gender difference into a company discussion on how to hire more women?

That's different & I agree that what happened to Damore was a kind of signaling. I disagree, however, that a more-or-less covert, but legitimately ethical algorithmic activity privy to very few in a giant organization w/ its pick of the litter is being done to attract employees.

You raise good points and I wish we knew more about the ideological & social dynamics in the most powerful company the world has ever seen.
