Of course, to many religious conservatives, the fact that there are 650k abortions per year in the US is an atrocity, and they view 'pro-choice' liberals as atrocity-endorsers who demand blind loyalty to their 'pro-choice' movement. Not agreeing with them, just pointing it out.

Yes, indeed, and if liberals would then start whining that they are underrepresented in the Catholic Church I would point out to them that that is a natural consequence of their stance on abortion.
