Some people see it as an indication that academics are biased against the conservative party. Which is probably correct, if we can interpret "finding their policies to be shortsighted, moronic, and breathtakingly unethical" as "bias".

Bro, we can infer yours. :-) I am contributing meaningfully. The idea that academics massively reject GOP because there is something wrong with *them* and not with the GOP is, to be polite, somewhat counterintuitive from a democratic POV. So please defend/explain that position.
