The real leverage is to convince alumni & citizens to pressure university libraries not to subscribe to propaganda 'journals'. Without library subscriptions, these journals would collapse. Tricky strategy though, since it could be turned against good heterodox journals....
Yeah, you would probably not want this. Alumni and the public are often not qualified to know what journals are legit
Not only that, we can barely even cancel individual subscriptions anymore...the publishers sell us big bundles. It’s a cable TV business model
