Largely I agree with you, but I expect China’s going to face a reckoning with its massive internal debt, non-transparent accounting, & the cozy crony capitalism that undermines Intellectual property, which will slow this process longer then expected.
Research fields that don't expand their influence in China will wither and die by the mid-21st century.
