I know you mean well Geoffrey, but the EA community do engage in virtue-signalling as well. Evidence-based does not guarantee optimal outcome in the long-run as we are now seeing with studies on cash transfers.

No doubt. But at least EA has ideas, tools, and evidence for challenging empty virtue-signaling in ways that no other charity movement has ever done.
