I've focused on both genomics for my PhD, and postdoctoral neuroimaging work focusing on emotional processing in the brain. The notion that childhood experience doesn't apply here is ludicrous. The best mental health professionals realize that genes and environment matter.

Burden of proof lies with you. Can you show me genomic evidence that specific variants predispose people to childhood trauma?

You’re making the positive claim. (That childhood environment does influence adult behavior.) Doesn’t that put the burden of proof on you?
