You're right to allude to therapists in general not acknowledging the "nature" side of the equation close to enough, but dude - there's no way a therapist can get through to a patient by using genomic language. You're not arguing gene expression is set from birth, right?

No, he’s arguing that shared family environment has not been shown by behavior genetics studies to significantly affect many measurable psychological variables in adulthood. Non-shared, individual, and random components environment certainly can and do.
