Just curious: what's the @LPNational platform on reducing existential risks to humanity from threats such as AI, nuclear weapons, and bioweapons? AI is especially worrisome, as it's developed mostly by private companies and is totally unregulated. #negativeexternalities

How about reducing existential risks such as funding terrorists, sabotaging & bombing countries, locking millions in jail for victimless crimes, killing/ruining millions in a War on Drugs, increasing tensions with other Powers, etc. and THEN talking abt your Terminator 6 script?

Nothing you mentioned is an existential risk. Global thermonuclear war is an obvious X-risk, and has been since the early 50s. Grow up.

How is AI an existential threat? If you are worried about a future like the Terminator movies, that is as rational as worrying about an alien invasion. If you are worried about jobs, perhaps you should cry out about all the technology that has increased mankind's productivity.
