This is fascinating -- LEAKED VIDEO: Google Leadership‘s Dismayed Reaction to Trump Election | Breitbart https://www.breitbart.com/tech/2018/09/12/leaked-video-google-leaderships-dismayed-reaction-to-trump-election/ … via @BreitbartNews

It’s concerning, but not surprising, that a Google meeting to discuss politics strikes the unified, visionary tone of an employee meeting to discuss the company’s stock. The implicit assumption among executives is not a single employee shares a different political viewpoint.

I didn't find the video to be justifying the story. There seemed to me to be no basis for the whole first paragraph of the article. It seemed some employees were feeling panicky, but not the leadership. And who *wasn't* dismayed on 11/10 -- even those of us who supported Trump?

There were actually multiple occasions where the Google leadership said, "We should be tolerant of those who hold opposing views & keep the lines of conversation open." And the overwhelming feeling they demonstrated toward a Trump agenda was, "It's too soon to tell. Wait & see."

@primalpoly it was about 9 month before he was fired. He was probably referencing this explicitly when referring to the echo chamber. -
