Parents want to protect their kids. That's a good intention. They just don't know how to do it in ways that are effective over the long term.

My wife felt the need to explain to my 13 year old why racial clubs are OK as long as they are not white or European, as we toured college campuses advertising race-based clubs, so she doesn't make the academically fatal blunder of eg speaking in favor of a color-blind society.

Yes. We are seeing these trends all over the anglosphere. So useful in English-speaking countries, interesting outside of them (where we have not seen these trends, but they may be coming).
