Geoffrey and I played the same game but switched playing every 5 minutes. He practically treats his units like real people and retreats them when they get hurt. So he was horrified when I sent units to get killed without even watching

You can never let the realism hit too hard. I worry too much about making sheep extinct and causing swathes of deforestation - then armies sweep through my peaceful suburbs!
