Wouldn’t this lead to a sharp increase in family size, especially for evangelicals. As you could literally breed your way to more votes, since 8 year olds will rarely vote against their parents candidates.
If a lower voting age has pronatalist effects, that's a beneficial side-effect, IMHO. But few parents would undertake raising extra kids just for some diffuse future political benefit.

I would agree that most parents wouldn’t, however, if in your worldview you thought God wanted you to help install a theocracy, then it is a small sacrifice, and possibly your duty.
