I find it unsettling to regard knife attacks or ramming pedestrians w/ a car as a consequence of basic human emotion. I prefer to think that terror would be considered a more developed emotion. Maybe in the category of psychotic rage or something. But perhaps this is semantics.
Terrorist attacks aren't caused by terror. They're caused by certain belief systems.
