Didn’t the Valentinians have some sort of sacramental ceremony in which the believer became the Bride of Christ? Maybe not exactly what you’re looking for, but related.

Also, Catholics and Orthodox do in my understanding tend to view intercourse as a part of the sacrament of marriage, making them one. In my view that’s pretty close to calling it a communion.

Latter Day Saints are striving for this view (and I would say make a great case for it through doctrine) though it can be hard due to cultural baggage. There have been LDS sex therapists, psychologists and CFLEs who have written books. Could cite some of them if interested.

Can I ask why “sex-positive” seems to always be treated as an unqualified good? (I would say it is on condition of emotional well-being of both parties and the absence of externalities)
