When we're taking about values in society we also have to consider its culture as well; not all cultures appreciate intellectual "diversity", some of them cut your head off as a result of a disagreement; it's their shared value!

Both. We have fewer/no shared values bec. of increasing migration/diversity and the associated IdPol coalitions. I know, it's 'our greatest strength' (the food?) but it sure causes a lot of friction. As for s.m., not just awareness, but silo-ization of info also a big part.
