I've wondered whether parents should be allowed to cast extra votes for each kid they have, since kids' interests should be represented politically somehow. Just a thought.

As far as I can tell, most measures describes in the article ar unproblematic and about creating incentives, not really curbing freedom.

However, given China's willingness for massive top-down social engineering, it is easy to imagine it getting a lot more intrusive.....
