There needs to be an “all” choice!

Religion; but to be fair its so incredibly abstract and diverse is it really comparable to the other three?

1, 2, and 4 contribute to misunderstanding of any single one.

I would have said all just about equally.

I said IQ b/c it's so taboo. Religion, yea, but moreso due to the philosophical problems rather than the 'jist' of the stories. Free speech, self explanatory & hard to live your life without encountering massive manifestations of sex differences.

Maybe we should ask, “On average most people’s ignorance and confusion is incited because of which topic?”

People are ignorant and confused about most things. That’s why we are a social species. But people have a hard time, knowing whom to trust and for what.

Before I vote I'd like to clarify the question. Does 'most ignorant & confused' means 'disagree with my views'?

Wow, this is a tough one! Glad race wasn’t included I think religion is up there, but not #1 — people merely double down on their delusion (if any). The same might go with free speech; folks are too satisfied with what they think. Hmm.
