No, Bill doesn't get free speech. Free speech is about the relationship between a citizen and the gov. Not between citizens. Ironically, if the gov enforced "free speech" by blocking FB from removing Jones, the gov would be infringing upon FB's free speech.

You are wholly and entirely wrong. I'm not asking gov't to enforce free speech on FB. I'm encouraging FB users, investors, and workers to pressure FB management into respecting American social norms of free speech. See the difference? Culture v. law?

I thought free speech meant that the gov’t can not infringe on your right to speak, not that twitter has to allow hateful conspiracy theorists (from any political side) to use their platform without consequence.

Free speech is an American value, not just a constitutional right. It applies everywhere if you believe in it, whatever the law says.

Everyone needs to stop conflating free speech with the first amendment. The first amendment is just the protection of free speech from the state. Free speech was not invented 200 years it began since the Roman Empire. They haven’t broken the law but they still anti free speech.

We’re also supposed to believe in private property rights, which these platforms are. Jones can still speak, and private entities can decide not to be his megaphone. This is not a free speech issue.
