Got a lot of thoughtful responses to my tweet against anonymity. I sympathize with many of those who disagree. Still think that self-restraint is essential to social media and anonymity degrades that self-restraint.
In my experience, about 80% of trolls are anonymous accounts, and they often have over 20k tweets and fewer than 500 followers. What could motivate a person to allocate their time in this way?
