I hate the idea that being culturally conservative makes you "not a real libertarian." Like policy-wise, I do largely think you should be able to whatever you want in your own life -- but that doesn't mean I can't have views on the morality of your decisions.

Fair enough. And for issues like this, it's often useful to see how the thing plays out in real life, and recalibrate one's moral judgments (one way or the other) based on real outcomes rather than predicted disasters.
