Have you guys noticed that many products and services cost more than it intuitively feels like they should?
But most products cost way less than it feels like they should.

Both things are true. For years (decades?) now, whenever I (am unfortunate enough to) find myself in a Costco or Target, I marvel at the abundance, the diversity...and the insanely low prices on nearly everything. It can't last. It's not stable.

Original point is about relative pricing. Yours is about absolute pricing. Like Matt Ridley likes to say, a million people produced some item like a computer mouse which costs just a few $. Same is true though of another simple plastic item that costs 2x more than the mouse.
