There’s a large space between being friends and being enemies. You should be “at peace” with your exes - should be able to have a warm, quick convo if you ran into them on the street - but they shouldn’t be in your life.

Geoffrey - what norms relative to monogamy or otherwise do you assume? Genuinely curious. I’m a non-monogamist so I have my own ideas. I know Pat is not. We’ve talked about this in the past.
The news story overlooks the key finding of the actual study: there are genuine reasons to stay friends with ex-lovers.
