On the other hand, do we want K-12 teachers unions, school boards, and politicians deciding what gets taught to young people about sex, relationships, and families?

If you think most parents will choose school models (charters, privates, homeschool, etc.) that do a better job of sex ed than the public schools, I think you’re fooling yourself. I’ll trust the average school board’s sex ed curriculum over the average homeschooling parent’s.
As a libertarian, my default is to trust people to make their own choices in life, unless there's very compelling evidence that they're violating other people's rights by doing so.

That's right. I don't think the state should insert itself between parents and their kids, unless there are really fundamental human rights issues at stake.

How as libertarian sex education is somehow different from any other education provided by public schools? Or as libertarian who chooses for what ever reason home school, you think no one else should be educated at school either?
