Again, that’s a different conversation. All I’m saying is that it’s not accurate to say “The American People chose him,” if 3 million more American People voted for his opponent. It’s factually incorrect. Saying he won the election, the EC chose him, etc, is accurate.

It's relevant insofar as we care what the majority of the public wanted. No individual goes to the ballot box thinking they're voting for an elector.
