Sure, and it’s also possible, even likely, that they could have lost. There’s no way to know. But we do know for a fact that Trump got 3 million less votes from the American people than his opponent, but more votes from members of the Electoral College.

Way to totally miss my point. The direct vote is not relevant if that's not the electoral system the country is using to select leaders.

Don't be silly. Trump's win was a massive fluke. About six or seven things had to break his way. If you ran the 2016 experiment six times, Hillary would have won five out of six. It was like a game of Russian Roulette. And Russia won.
