Most of the content in my college human sexuality courses is aimed at correcting the errors from K-12 abstinence-only classes. You’re paying tuition to learn about topics you should have learned in 5th grade.

Questions I've been asked in class: "How many holes do penises have?" "Is the pill a category 1 carcinogen?" "Is sex always painful?" These are elementary school questions. We talk about preparing kids for college/adulthood, but we're miserably failing them regarding sexuality.

It's admirable that you do a lot of remedial sexuality ed, but I think it's also important to cover edgy things that no K-12 school could cover, like anti-polyamory stigma, how BDSM differs from domestic abuse, ethics of circumcision, etc.

I cover all of that, too. And ideally, those would be K-12 topics as well.
