Am I alone in finding the very idea of “Continental Philosophy” ridiculous? What would we think of a university that appointed someone to teach Continental Chemistry? Continental Algebra? Does it tell us something about philosophy as an academic discipline?

And there was value in most of those rabbit holes. Dawkins has to know the word game he just evoked there. Anyway, Husserl, Wittgenstein, Heidegger... Very different, far from perfect, yet each focusing on fascinating aspects of role between language and experience.
