they're useless measurements though (just like impact factors) as long as the self supporting science bubble is big enough. quantifying effectiveness of outreach is hard.
You think someone with 50k Twitter followers has no more impact than someone with 500?

i define impact as reaching people that don't share the same opinion already. if your bubble is super heterogeneous, 50k don't mean anything. If I preach to the choir I don't have any meaningful impact.

also if out of 50k only 100 interact with your tweets, do you have impact? if you have 500 followers and 400 interactions, do you have less impact than the 50k account?
