Next time a politician says 'we must address the root causes of violence', ask whether they're referring to 1) evolutionary processes of sexual selection 2) genetic influences on aggressiveness & impulsivity, or 3) over-regulated economies that incentivize 'illegal markets'

What about life expectancy and income inequality as per the Daly/Wilson Homicide analysis? Deregulated economies make both worse especially via health care outcomes
I'm pretty skeptical about the idea of life-history calibration through environmental cues of expected longevity. It's theoretically plausible, but the behavior genetics results don't usually support it. Longer discussion needed....
