From time to time I read a book which I find seminal: seeds new constructive thought. Jonathan Haidt’s The Righteous Mind (I’m now half way through) is seminal. Recommended, especially if you’re one of those who fashionably rubbishes Evolutionary Psychology & its “modules”.

What's intriguing to me about TRM is that Haidt's explanation (moral foundations) is probably wrong, but the book is still a fantastic and edifying read.

Cool, where can I read some intelligent critiques of and addendums to TRM? Sorry, Bo, I know I ask you to point me to resources all the time

True. But was just thinking how many (*many*) people I know who didn't read
@RichardDawkins but say he's wrong, and who didn't read@JonHaidt but say he's right. So curious what will come out of this (and how to make people read).Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

Vehemently agree. I've kept it on my short list of books to re-read & may just do that now that you respectable gentlemen have reminded me about that list. Much else of what of I've read since Righteous Mind touches upon elements Haidt summarizes or expands upon. Seminal indeed.

Evidently, many of the people who have read 'The Righteous Mind' fail to apply its lessons when it comes to those "evil" 'Leftists' and 'SJWs'.
