Conspiracy theories: Unacceptable: some Youtube guy convinces a few thousand followers that lizard people are an issue. Acceptable: thousands of faculty convince millions of students to reject Western Civilization's core values as nothing more than systemic racism & sexism.
Reason, evidence. science, open debate, free speech, equal rights, stuff like that.
