To be clear, this is sarcasm. I'm saying that the political elite outsources its dirty work to corporations so it can maintain plausible deniability, and undermine our rights without us knowing how to protect them.
The pattern you've drawn here doesn't quite hold. The latter 2 examples are both driven by government policy. Social Media is not driven by government policy but rather Silicon Valley sensibilities. That is its own cabal of shared political leanings, but it's not The Government.
