Social media companies might be big and powerful, but they’re not government. How on Earth does a senator violate their constitutional oath by advocating that a company should boot a disruptive and legally slanderous customer? Lots of disingenuous or sloppy thinking on this.
So you'd be happy if a fundamentalist senator demanded that Facebook shut down all atheist sites and accounts? You'd see that as protecting #1A?
