I wish that the NY journalists would just stop writing for a couple of weeks every summer, drive across America, and talk with some ordinary folks. Maybe even listen. Go to some ranges, sing in some churches, get to know their fellow citizens. Might help.

Would be great for "regular" folks to come to DC to see how press, Congress, WH actually work. Deep State conspiracy theories would crumble.
Would that have revealed what Snowden revealed? Or what Ellsberg revealed?

Read Ellsberg 'The Doomsday Machine'. Most presidents were not even informed how our nuclear policy really worked. That's the actual deep state at work.
