Should people with one extreme of a personality trait like Openness be able to impose their preferred world on people with the opposite extreme? Isn't that like extraverts imposing open-plan offices on introverts?

Yeah, I just hope that if we reframe some 'political' debates as reflecting deeper differences in personality traits, we might become a bit more tolerant of those with the other traits, and build societies with happy niches for all.

The opposite extreme results in decaying nowhere towns. Have to be clear on your consequences here. Hostility to outsiders ends up condemning the very community they sought to preserve.
