@primalpoly to be fair, isn't this the argument people try to apply to IQ? I have a number of friends who say things like, "Well if we don't know neurologically what's going on, we shouldn't bother trying to change it."
It's proven extremely difficult to find any reliable way to boost IQ. We can undo the damage of malnutrition, disease, lead poisoning, etc, but not boost it.
