      It feels more like a huge miscalculation on the part of NYT to have hired such a public racist, and they're now covering for that mistake. That, or they really want the public to know they're okay with this kind of racism and they've elevated #FakeNews to #HateNews

      What's strange to me, and excuse the oversimplification, is that 'we' don't get to throw hissyfits and demand her resignation, but 'they' have no issue getting someone fired for one crude tweet....

      ...it's not that I don't understand the reasoning for it, just that besides boycotting NYT even more, the high road seems a bit ineffective.
