The problem is that the Left wants to purge Kevin Williamson and co. but let their side get off scott-free for arguably worse offenses. That's what we should attack, the hypocrisy.

I want to see a public discourse where people of all political persuasions can recover, apologize, and move on with their lives. A few ugly statements (i haven't seen the ones you mentioned, but certainly some bad stuff) shouldn't not lead us to write a person off for life
