But a "printer" is *computer* technology, whereas a "milling machine" is an ordinary physical tool found in a woodshop. Therefore it follows that the former is way scarier and more powerful than the latter, and nefarious people are more likely to use it.

In case it's not clear, my comment was sarcasm, at the expense of politicians who do not know how CNC milling is different from ordinary wood milling, and yet make important policy decisions about such technologies. I do personally know what the difference is.
