Sounds like you have a zero-sum view of economic progress, which is demonstrably false. But, that's a common outcome of the current indoctrination regime.
In honest civilizations, 'highly educated' means highly enlightened. In self-deceived civilizations, 'highly educated' just means highly indoctrinated.
