This is a non-issue for me. We all have the ability to toggle the curation algorithm on and off. If we feel that Twitter is manipulating us, we should turn it off.
I sincerely hope that Twitter can restore its neutrality as a public forum. Much easier to encourage @jack to do the right things than to launch whole new siloed platforms for different ideologies.https://twitter.com/jack/status/1022196722905296896 …

I don't think that's how the curation/ranking algorithm works. We can turn off the 'quality filter', but that's different, if I understand it correctly.

Aren't there legal distinctions (and liability differences) between content providers, and open platforms that allow others to provide the content? It seems like the latter becomes the former as soon as it starts curating opinions.
