Actually, I don't mind if some private universities want to be social justice indoctrination camps. They should just be honest about it to applicants, parents, alumni, employers, and media. And not take any taxpayer money at all -- just as many private religious colleges don't.

What do you mean by “be honest?” Are they supposed to market themselves as left-wing biased schools and not as rigorous academic institutions? And what about those that are only somewhat biased in some departments?

Yes, if social justice schools hire and promote people based on having the 'right values', they should be proud of that, and say it publicly. Just as Christian schools are proud of their godliness.

I agree but I was referring to a school like UVM where I went. It’s a public school that seems to be biased left. But they’re aren’t completely left just slanted that way. That seems an odd position to market in my opinion. But maybe I’m missing your point.

All universities should voluntarily publish stats on their degree & direction of political bias. Then everyone could make fully informed decisions about where to study and work. I know most campuses aren't totally lacking in ideological diversity.
